The Venue
The venue this course is being run at is The Trof Cafe and Muisc Hall at the old Deaf Intsitute Building, 135 Grosvenor St Manchester, Lancashire, M1 7HE. It is a rather groovy little place that place great music, serves fantastic food and has bands etc in the evening. Check out their website by clicking here.
A Typical Session
Is two hours long, a short discussion of fire safety and what will be covered in the lesson is the first step followed by a short warm up. Move practice on a group basis and with individual instruction follows for the almost the entire session. At the end there is a quick discussion of how what has been learned, is important to learning all moves then course literature given out, a reminder to practice every day and then it's either off to the pub or home.
The Fire Session
This is held at the end of the fire spinning course and is of course held outside. I am very capable of making the experience as non scary as possible using various methods throughout the course and on the actual fire session itself.
A discussion on fire safety techniques is had along with a demonstration of them and finally a few questions regarding what has been learned throughout the course about fire safety. Students will then take turns to light up and experience their first fire spin.
Your Own Fire Pic
You get to go home with your own properly taken fire photograph. It will be emailed to you, given to you as a hard copy for framing and possibly even used on the blog if you desire.
Yours to keep forever as a reminder of your first ever fire spin, lots of fire spinners out there would like one of those!
